RN Admissions Nurse

Department: Hospice Home Care
Location: Topeka, KS

RN Admissions Nurse needed for Midland Care Hospice.

$3,000 Sign on Bonus!

This position has the primary responsibility to perform the initial assessment of patient needs, collaborate in the development and implementation of the initial plan of care. This nurse will actively participate in coordination of all aspects of patient’s care, in accordance with current professional standards and practice. This position will also require flexibility to meet patient care needs within the continuum of services.

Employment Status: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, *Dedicated on-call team, but must be available for occasional on-call rotation. *

Qualifications

Required: Current unrestricted State of Kansas License to practice as a Registered Nurse. One year professional medical-surgical experience. Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License, in force automobile insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, standards of nursing practice, scope of practice and relevant statutes and regulations. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, pay strong attention to detail and accuracy and work under pressure in a cooperative work environment. Must be self-directed, motivated and flexible.

Preferred: Home Health or Hospice experience preferred.
