Midland Care is now hiring a Physician for our Hospice and Palliative Care team.
This position is responsible for the delivery of patient care, oversight of, the quality assessment and performance improvement program, and to achieve best clinical outcomes possible for all hospice and palliative care patients. Responsible for the delivery and oversight of the care, treatment and services provided to patients, based on the patient’s identified needs and goals of care in accordance with the hospice philosophy of care.
Employment Status: Full-Time
Annual Salary: $220,000+ (pay is based on requirements of role and like experience)

Qualifications
Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopath and having completed an appropriate internship or residency, is licensed to practice and prescribe scheduled drugs in the State of Kansas. Must remain in good standing with the Board of Healing Arts. Must subscribe to the hospice philosophy and have two years’ experience working with chronically ill or terminal patients. Knowledge of the principles and practice of primary medical care, with at least a working knowledge of oncology. Knowledge of palliative care with particular emphasis on symptom control associated with terminal illness. Knowledge of the local medical community and the ability to enhance, by association with the Hospice, Midland’s visibility and reputation with area physicians and hospitals. Ability to collaborate with hospice employees and volunteers as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland’s policy.
