Midland Care is hiring a Part-Time Hospice & Palliative APRN
Summary
The APRN provides standard hospice and palliative care performing direct patient care in collaboration with the Hospice Medical Director, Hospice & Palliative Care providers, and community primary care providers as applicable. The APRN provides holistic care, taking into account the needs and strengths of the whole person. This position is responsible for providing care in multiple settings, including the inpatient hospice unit, nursing home and in the community. The APRN works in close collaboration with the entire interdisciplinary team to establish realistic goals through a patient/family-centered plan of care.
Pay range beginning at $44+/hour (pay is based on like experience and requirements)

Qualifications
Required: Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a current Kansas license as well as passed the certification exam for your chosen specialty. Must be Medicare/Medicaid certified or be willing and able to pass the exam within the first 90 days of employment. Computer skills necessary. Experience in providing seminars, staff and community education. Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.
Preferred: One or more years of experience as a nurse practitioner in the setting of geriatrics preferred.
