Intake Support Specialist 

Department: Home Health
Location: Kansas City, MO

We are seeking an Intake Support Specialist to provide administrative and intake coordination support to our Clinical Services team. This role ensures efficient data entry, visitor reception, patient intake processing, and office coordination while assisting with electronic medical records and referral management.

Pay: Starting at $16/hr.+ based one experience

Full-time: Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Greet and assist visitors, providing a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Manage patient intake, verifying referral details, admission criteria, and insurance information.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with accurate patient and referral data.
  • Support clinical staff with administrative tasks, including documentation and scheduling.
  • Assist with supply management, office organization, and general administrative duties.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and community referral sources to ensure seamless service.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical, home health, or administrative support preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with office software, multi-line phone systems, and EMR systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or ICD coding preferred.
  • Valid Kansas or Missouri Driver’s License preferred.
