Counseling Grief & Loss Coordinator

Department: Center for Hope and Healing
Location: Topeka, KS

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Counseling of Center for Hope and Healing Services!

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide clinical supervision to the social work and chaplain staff as well as supervision of staff and services to meet the grief and loss needs of patients/clients served by Midland. As the Counseling Coordinator this position is responsible for the social work and Chaplain team, along with the Center for Hope and Healing (CFHH), communication with other Midland departments/staff, curriculum development, CFHH event organization and planning, oversight of quality scores/improvement processes, and review/development of policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. This position is supervised as designated on the agency organizational chart.

Employment Status: Full-Time Monday through Friday. 8am-5pm

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work. Current unrestricted Kansas State licensure. Strong preference for license at the clinical/independent level. One year of grief counseling experience preferred. Must possess valid Kansas Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy.

Preferred: Supervisory experience. One-year experience working with volunteers or being a volunteer.
